Lisa Moriarty, Margaret Grace and Golden Pond’s entire staff is fantastic! Our two year old son started in August of 2018 after having a nanny for the first couple years of life. Needless to say, the transition was difficult, both on our son and on my wife and I. Every morning, as soon as he would wake up, he would start crying and saying he did not want to go to school. This would persist up until drop off and even into the day with him crying and asking to come home.
This persisted for 2 weeks and, I can honestly say, had it not been for the staff at GPS, we likely would have pulled our son out. However, every day Lisa, Margaret or someone on their staff would personally take our son for a walk to calm him down. They would also use other techniques to calm him down throughout the day and reassure him we will be coming to pick him up. His teachers (Mrs. Manthe’, Ms. Hink and Ms. Gabriel) all would report back to my wife and I about how his day would go and would provide us with tips on how to make coming to school sound fun! Mrs. Manthe would even call me after hours to ensure he had a good day or provide feedback on a negative day and how we might be able to make it better.
Long story short, our Son now LOVES to go to school and he is active and plays with all of the other kids. He loves his teachers and he is excited for school every morning. We cannot recommend or thank GPS and the staff more for all their help!
