Michelle Horton

Lead Teacher, Preschool + Preschool Enrichment

Teacher at GPS since 2017

21 Years of Teaching Experience

Mrs. Horton first toured Golden Pond School in 2004 as a parent searching for the perfect preschool for her oldest daughter. As an educator with 17 years of teaching experience including 12 years as a preschool teacher, Mrs. Horton knew what she was looking for and Golden Pond School was it! She was immediately impressed by the friendly, encouraging teachers and faculty, the fun, challenging curriculum and the nice variety of programs offered. Mrs. Horton felt it was the total package and a perfect fit for her child. After taking time to raise her children Mrs. Horton returned to teaching in 2017 and returned to Golden Pond School as a teacher in our Preschool Enrichment program.

Mrs. Horton is a Northern Virginia native who has lived in Loudoun County her entire life. She currently lives in Ashburn with her two daughters and son. Mrs. Horton enjoys painting, puzzles, playing games and spending time with her family. She loves working with children and cannot imagine ever doing anything else.

“It is amazing to watch a child’s mind at work!”
