Katie Copps
Lead Teacher, Preschool
Ms. Copps discovered her love of working with children at an early age as camp counselor. She went on to fulfill her dream by completing her undergraduate and graduate degrees and focusing her career on early education. Ms. Copps taught for seven years in an inclusive preschool program with typically developing children and Deaf and hard of hearing students. This strengthened her passion for language development, literacy, and early learning. She also served as a preschool board member and parent volunteer, experiences that deepened her love of creating joyful, engaging classrooms. Her classroom provides a hands-on, nurturing environment where children can explore, grow, and discover a lifelong love of learning!
“I’m so happy to be working at a school like Golden Pond that has such an emphasis on hands-on learning and exploration; allowing children to follow their interests, discover new ideas, and build a true love of learning!”
